The SCA Team

SCA pride themselves on warm, friendly approachable professional staff. The SCA Team regularly undertake training to maintain a high quality level of support. Nothing is too much trouble for the SCA Team, all staff have excellent knowledge of the EYFS & Children's development, there's no such thing as a silly question, feel free to ask them anything!

Claire Chapman – Director:  

With a BA Honours Degree, trained Senco and a wealth of  qualifications, Claire is a working mother of 4, passionate about providing young people with the best possible start in life. Since 2002 Claire has had experience in various roles – childminder, after school club facilitator and nursery owner. Claire currently runs her own Childminding business and delivers high quality childcare within a Nursery setting alongside two registered childminders. Claire regularly attends meetings with Local Authorities, Ofsted, an other Agencies.

 




Linda Mitchell - Advisor: 

Linda is a Health and Children’s Centre Manager for the local authority and has achieved the NPQICL (National Professional Qualification of Integrated Centre Leadership).  Within her varied role Linda line manages a team of Family Support Practitioners who, on a daily basis, implement the EYFS within children centre and outreach services. Linda has also undertaken recent training of safer recruitment                                processes and is experienced in this.

Caroline Revell – Office Administrator: 
With a Level 3 in Childcare Caroline has worked along side Claire since setting up SCA in 2016 before working as a Childminder assistant for many years. Caroline is a working mother and is passionate the development of children and registering quality childminders in the sector. Caroline is there to assist you       with all aspects of registration from help completing application forms right through to your Pre-registration visit.


Stacey Reed – Training & Marketing Co-ordinator, Recruitment:
Stacey has completed many SEND courses and is currently studying for her BA Honours degree in SEND. Stacey supports all new and existing childminders to access SCA's own in-house training programme which is supported by external providers where required, for example paediatric first aid and further education.

Donna Hollis 



Michelle has been in childcare since 2005 as a qualified Early Years teacher.  Donna has been working in childcare since 2006 also a qualified Practitioner.  SCA Agency Managers have up-to-date Early Years Foundation Stage qualifications along with being safeguarding leads. 

Agency Managers provide SCA childminders with consistent and regular support from implementing the EYFS to for fill their Statutory requirements, Planning and Observations, Monitoring visits to get QAI ready to Early Years Funding and much more. 

Parent/Childminder Matching Service - our Agency managers support both parents/carers and childminders to give them the service they need and the facilities they require, saving time for both parties.

SCA believe childminders are central to the Early Years sector in this country and we want them to be recognised, as such. In order to offer the highest quality of care and early education to children childminders need access to ongoing advice, support and training, whether it's by email, face-face or over the phone.  

Quality Assurance Inspectors 
SCA have there own Inspectors who are qualified early years teachers, also safeguarding leads, they all hold various qualifications regarding the childcare sector and keep up to date with current legislation, SCA Inspections are graded the same as Ofsted using the current Inspection Framework:

Outstanding – Grade 1          Good – Grade 2             Requires Improvement – Grade 3                Inadequate – Grade 4
